Shop Review : TwelveBaskets

I thought it was about time that l did a review so l decided to review one of our local charity shops in the town that l live. Now Blackheath has its fair share of charity shops, l think every third shop is some form of charity shop but this one in particular is a cut above the rest.

The charity is Loaves and Fishes and the shop is 12Baskets. The team carefully select what they have on sale and even have their onsite furniture upcycling team ready to make your unique up cycling pieces of furniture. They have what feels like an aircraft hanger rammed to the rafters of furniture that has been donated to them and ready for the team to pick out what they want to sell.

The actual shop is separated into mini shops, furniture downstairs and vintage clothing upstairs. I can't say l have ventured upstairs that many times but the furniture l look at every week or so. It helps that l follow them on Facebook so l get to see what they have been unto. (Their Facebook is here if you want to have a look, give them a follow and tell them l sent you : https://www.facebook.com/Twelvebasketsshop/?fref=ts

When me and Craig-Mark went to look at what they had to offer we literally could of came out with a houseful, we found side tables, dining tables and chairs, units, mirrors and even pianos that we liked and that they would of happily painted for us in the colours of our choice. Its amazing what you can do with a lick of paint to make things your own. I look forward to seeing what these guys come up with in the future and I hope one day we could do a collaboration?!

But seriously, give them a like on Facebook and see what they have been upto. After all charity starts at home!

Thats all for now.
Craig
